Mission
The Great Falls Public Library Foundation was created in 1968 by far-sighted citizens who understood that our Library cannot rely on public funding alone in order to remain a strong and vital organization. Through private contributions, the Library Foundation has helped the Library by:
• Providing books for the Library’s permanent collection, thus encouraging lifelong readers.
• Funding the Library’s young adult section and providing ongoing support for children’s resources, thus sustaining children and families through library programs and updated materials.
• Supporting the bookmobile so the Library can reach out to serve readers and educators across Cascade County.
• Building vibrant library collections by funding a variety of projects.
• Improving library facilities, including a front plaza and fountain renovation and new furniture to make the Library a welcoming and comfortable environment.
• Funding upgrades to electronic access and materials to ensure the Library is a contemporary source of knowledge and information.
• Enhancing local residents’ cultural experiences by funding various community events and programs.
